Isokinetic Strength Testing and Performance Training
Isokinetic strength testing and performance training utilizes advanced exercise and testing equipment with software to provide objective data important to patient rehabilitation. The equipment allows the therapist to exercise or test any major joint of the extremities. Valuable information is gained including limb speed, work, power and acceleration. Data can be compared to the unaffected extremity to help develop the most effective rehabilitation program.
HUMAC Interactive Balance Force Plate
From the creators at CSMi, this balance system is an essential tool for both assessment and training purposes. A baseline assessment of static and dynamic balance is recorded through a series of tests designed to measure stability and mobility. This displays how a patient is able to distribute weight in multiplanar movements. Once assessed, the patient will be challenged with fun, interactive games that improve balance and coordination. Periodically a retest will be performed to assess progress and determine any limitations in function. Testing and use of the HUMAC system is beneficial for numerous patient populations, including but not limited to those with orthopedic injuries, high risk of falls, neurological disorders, vestibular disorders, and concussions.
